It's a crushing sensation, which I feel
When my thoughts drift toward you
My heart I know…Is slowly breaking
And there is nothing that I can do

How can a mother tear away from a child
And the only son, to whom she gave birth
How do I make my mind forget…
Happy times you brought, and their worth

My daughters, I hold dear to me
They too…. Are precious and sweet
But Son, you are needed at my side
To make my happiness complete……

As sure as there is a God up above
I'll still hold faith…you will return
First to the "Lord" That redeemed you
Second, to your family that yearn…..

So, until that time, my wayward Son
I'll pray the Lord ...wipe away my tears
And when the turning of your back is done
You'll appear…With God answering my prayers
