Celebrating Labor Day title graphic

A holiday for hard workers?
Hooray! that Bill was passed,
To celebrate our efforts
While summer's sun still last.

I could head for the mountains
To catch some down time...rare
But do I really want to drive
six hours to get there?

Then how about the ocean?
To walk upon the sand
Maybe not...I've worked so hard
That I'm too tired to stand.

So I think that I'll just sleep in
The thought makes my head reel
Then move on to the back yard
see how that hammock feels

And as I rest, I'll contemplate
what this day means, it's true...
The reason that I celebrate?
I have a job to go back to!
